river road sightings

another image from my drive east/west daily. this shack was upright some 8 months ago and i have watched it fall into the river. the storms seem to press hardest against its grain..each wind storm or rain pounding takes it a little closer to the sirens call.its wooden corpse rises with the river level and seems to be fighting the inevitable. (segway : have we all not fought the inevitable? truly believing that we are stronger, or right or that others can be convinced to see things our way? each backbone tested for reliance, each fibre of our souls taught and rebellious no matter the odds. eventually we give, or we acquiesce)

i am shocked that the city or a tree hugger/ river saver of late has not gotten all up in arms as the owners let this drop into the riverway without regard.

it is not the only thing on this drives that seems to be forgotten. there are many water vessels and other dwellings creeping toward the river's sandy bottom.
i watch this dwelling with curiosity and anticipation of its final farewell and a quote comes to mind:
" barn's burnt down, now i can see the moon"
