"he who cannot forgive breaks the bridge over which he himself must pass." geroge herbert

have you ever done something you regret, made a decision you wish you could take back, presented a 'you" you wish was done in invisible ink or lived a life that you were not truly comfortable with?

i think the toughest thing to do is to forgive yourself.

tell me about here....all thoughts honoured in the strictest of confidence provided you post as an anonymous poster

Regret - living life as others see it. And then coming to the end of my days wondering if I can forgive myself for not trying to live my life as I had wanted it to be.

To forgive a single action is very different than changing the part of you that repeatedly does this. Stop pretending to 'regret' and 'fix' the symptom and work on the cause.

The above comment is not in reference to the blogger specifically, but rather in general frustration with people hurting others, 'regretting' their actions yet repeating them over and over and over...

and sometimes those thongs that are repeated are meant to hrut others and sometimes they are meant to hurt ourselves. sabotage in realtionships comes to mind

Lingering sadness for assuming a role meant for others, resulting in words and behaviours my own true spirit still cries in sadness for. Gentle hugs I give my soul to hold closely in times of temptation.

Muscle has memory so hard to change.. stuck in a place all on it's own.. it's up to you to strengthen your heart.... not close it off or shield it from love .. your own new way.. practise.. new memories blaze there own new highway.. branching off.. taking you to places only those who have forgiven themselves can go... welcome home girl..
